Probable Cause

On March 20, 2024, at approximately 3:04 P.M., Deputy Schultz responded to a report of a male exposing himself in the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office parking lot, in the City of Brainerd, County of Crow Wing, State of Minnesota.

Deputy Schultz KRM who had witnessed the incident. KRM, who is 16 years old, reported that she was parked facing south in the parking lot. Her aunt, MG, had left the vehicle to go into the community services building. Two minor children were also in the vehicle, a 14 year old and an 8 year old. A blue Chevorlet car pulled up on the east side of her. There was a female in the driver’s seat and a male in the passenger seat. The male appeared to be approximately 6’ 2” tall, in his 50’s, wearing tan pants, a camo coat, and black shirt. The female left the vehicle. The male then exited the vehicle with his pants down exposing his penis. The male entered the driver’s seat of the vehicle, took off his jacket, and reclined the seat. The male then started to “jerk off” while staring at KRM. The male was making hand gestures to KRM that appeared like he was signaling KRM to come over to his vehicle. The male then pulled behind KRM and continued to “jerk off” while parked until the female came back to the vehicle. The two minor children reported seeing the male expose his penis and “jerk off.” KRM told MG when she returned to the vehicle, and they then called law enforcement.

Deputy Schultz was notified by other officers that they had located the suspect vehicle nearby and the male matching the description was driving the vehicle. The male was identified as Guy Steven Boyles (DOB 06/15/1971), Defendant herein. Defendant’s driver’s status was canceled - inimical to public safety. Defendant was placed under arrest for the listed charges and transported to the jail.
